First Sunday of the Month at Ktima Kokotou

(11.00 – 16.00)

A chance for the whole family to spend a day in the country, just a short distance from the city centre.

On the First Sunday of each month Ktima Kokotou opens its doors for free wine tasting, tours of the vineyard and winery as well as experiential programs for children, with activities designed for each season, for 2-4 years with our “Young Vines” team and for children 5-8 years with “Team 17”.

Doors open at 11.00 for the children’s activities which run through until 13.00, please note that reservations are required and there is a charge of 10 euros per child. For reservations and further information please call 210 8145113 or 6946 504839
Intercatering is with us selling hot coffee, tea, juice, burgers, pasta and apple pie throughout the event.

Celebration of “St George the Intoxicator”

and charity bazaar in support of “Pediatric Trauma Care.
(First Sunday in November 11.00 – 17.00)

We organize an annual charity bazaar to coincide with the celebration of “St George the Intoxicator” at the estate’s chapel, dedicated to the saint. A large number of exhibitors participate with a wide range of products and handicrafts.

Throughout the day there is also a varied programme of activities for both adults and children including:

tutoured wine tastings, guided tours of the winery and vineyards, tours of the organic olive grove and vegetable garden, pony rides, adventure playground, handicrafts, creative play in the vineyards with “Group 17” and “Young Vines”.

Raffle in aid of Pediatric Trauma Care with a large number of exciting prizes.

The Charity ”Pediatric Trauma Care” is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which was founded in November 1995 in Athens by a small number of doctors and parents. Its sole purpose is to raise awareness on children’s accidents in Greece, reduce their number and severity and to improve care once an accident has occurred.

Weekly programme for pre-school children Monday – Wednesday – Friday 10.00 – 13.00.

Educational visits for schools and groups;

A team of young scientists designs educational programmes based on the activities of the estate

The organic vineyard and the winery, the vegetable garden, the olive grove, the beehives and the small farm are transformed into experiential learning places for kindergarten, elementary and high school children.

  • Treading the Grapes (September – October)
    Grape harvest and traditional treading of the grapes.
  • Olive Harvest (November) learn about the olive tree and collect olives.
  • The Secrets of the Vineyard
    What are the secrets of producing a fine quality wine?
    What nourishes the vine?
    What threats does the vine face and how can we protect it?
  • Cultivating a vegetable garden using the “permaculture method”
    in which an ecosystem intended to be sustainable and self-sufficient is created..
